WELCOME

Welcome to my academic homepage. I am Yuki Mori, Ph.D., based at the Preclinical Platform within the Core Facility for Integrated BioImaging (CFIB) at the University of Copenhagen. My research is centered on advancing bioimaging techniques, with a particular focus on preclinical MRI/MRS. I am dedicated to developing innovative imaging solutions that enhance our understanding of biological processes at the preclinical/translational level. My research also lies at the intersection of preclinical neuroimaging and neurobiology, with a primary focus on understanding neurofluids, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) dynamics, and the glymphatic system. Using cutting-edge imaging technologies—particularly high-field MRI — my work aims to visualize brain-wide fluid flow, investigate central nervous system (CNS) clearance pathways, and explore how these processes are altered in physiological states like sleep and pathological conditions like stroke, brain edema, and neurodegenerative diseases.

My Personal Motto

- Bonji Tettei (凡事徹底)
A philosophy of finding excellence in the ordinary—by approaching even the simplest things with discipline, care, and unwavering consistency.
In science, as in life, clarity often emerges through patience, repetition, and careful attention to what is easily overlooked.
Bonji Tettei reminds us to do simple things thoroughly, value each moment, and trust that depth often lies in what appears ordinary.
“As if you could kill time without injuring eternity.”
— Henry David Thoreau,
Walden

- Kōjō Ichiro (向上一路)
The path itself is one of continual refinement — to keep moving forward, always seeking to learn, refine, and grow.
A quiet commitment to continual improvement—measured not by achievement alone, but by the discipline of becoming better through practice.
“Practise even the things which you despair of achieving.”
— Marcus Aurelius,
Meditations
